HOBBII MAL: PART 6

PART 6

SLEEVES

WELCOME TO PART 6- the final instalment and the full mystery reveal! Now thats come around fast, I hope you are all excited to put the icing on the cake and finish off your Cardigans!

This week is all about using up those odds and ends to finish up your yarn packs and finish off your pieces!

If you have signed up to the MAL you should have received an email containing the pattern- but you can also access them through the links below.

(Note: After the MAL’s completion from May 1st 2023 the pattern is now a paid for pattern and can be found through the link for the entire 6 parts)

This final part is worked differently to the smaller body sections and the sleeves are worked in whole using up all your odds and ends in an asymmetrical stripe pattern. The pattern videos also show you how to trap and weave your ends in as you go so you are not left with lots of ends to sew in!

To share your making and get help, tips and tricks from your fellow crafters working on the MAL Hobbii have also set up a Facebook group you can join! This is a great place to really embrace the community making of a Make-A-Long!

There are also videos to guide you through the process for each part. I have linked these below, but can also be found on your digital pattern download.

I can”t believe we are at the final stage!!! I CAN’T WAIT to see your finished pieces together!!! I hope you have loved this project as much as i have!

Top Tip: If choosing to wash or rinse your item when blocking, some makers have found some slight bleeding with the Friends merino colours into the cream. To help stop any colour run you can use colour-catcher sheets, which trap extraneous dyes during the wash cycle to prevent bleeding. And to fix the colours firmer you can add either 1 cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle or one-half cup salt to the wash to help hold in colours.
